We love you, Jacob.
After sweet time with Jacob, getting to meet his family and friends and celebrate his birthday with great love and joy, we said goodbye to our sweet son around 9:15 am on February 9, 2016 as he entered Heaven and met Jesus face to face. We think it's the best birthday present ever for him.We got 7 precious hours with our son and what a joy & delight he is to us. He is beautiful. What a gift it was to watch him breathe, feel him on our skin, and kiss his precious cheeks. His coos and cries were beautiful sounds to our ears. He truly has changed our lives. We are so, so sad to say goodbye to our sweet boy, but we are comforted by our God: the God who knit Jacob's life together for nine precious months, the God who held the minutes of his life in his hand, the God who has carried us through Jacob's entire life, and the God who has drawn near to us to say, "Come to me," as He weeps with us and gives us joy. We rest in the reminder that because of the great love God has for us, in spite of ourselves, Jacob may experience eternal life... and so may we, because Jesus died on our behalf, and was raised to life, defeating death & conquering sin. We have hope in the promise of His resurrection, and the beautiful gift that we will one day experience no more sorrow, pain, or tears. Praise God for this grace.Other, more tangible ways will be offered in the future, but the best way to be there for us right now is to celebrate Jacob's life with us still, to pray for us, to weep with us, and to praise God with us. He is so kind."The lines have fallen for us in pleasant places; indeed, we have a beautiful inheritance." [Psalm 16:6]Love, Meg, John-Mark, and Jacob
